Job summary

Jewish Community Services of South Florida (JCS) seeks a Helpline Care and Outreach Coordinator to support the Contact Center with follow-up, enhanced advocacy, and system navigation for clients in need of services. You will engage in intake, screening, referrals, and community outreach, building relationships with partner organizations and community agencies.

Ideal candidates will have a Bachelor’s in Social Work or related field, at least two years of information/referral experience, and

Qualifications

• Two years’ experience in providing information and referral services.
• One or more years in crisis counseling or clinical work preferred.
• Bilingual in English and Spanish is required.

Responsibilities

• Provide follow-up services, enhanced advocacy, and care coordination for clients needing additional assistance.
• Assist with intake, screening, needs assessment, referral, linkage, and follow-up for Contact Center services.
• Conduct comprehensive, person-centered needs assessments and escalate safety or crisis concerns as needed.
• Facilitate referrals to appropriate treatment or service providers.
• Advocate to access federally funded and private resources for basic needs.
• Prepare correspondence, case notes, and reports using computer-based applications.
• Educate community members and partner organizations about services and resources.
• Represent the Contact Center at outreach events and serve as liaison with community agencies.
