HDR is seeking a Central Region Transit Market Sector Leader to partner with regional mgmt and the Global Transit Market Sector Director to develop and execute transit and rail market strategies across the Central Region.

Responsibilities include market opportunities, client management, staff development, program and project management, and sales growth, with a focus on advancing resilient, sustainable transportation solutions for public and private sector clients.

Qualifications

  • Minimum 10 years in transportation planning/engineering, primarily in the market sector.
  • Bachelor's degree in engineering, planning or related field.
  • Engineering registration if an engineer.
  • Experience in strategic marketing program development for planning/engineering services.
  • Experience managing diverse client relationships and program pursuits.
  • Experience developing staff, recruiting, and career growth.
  • Active involvement with industry associations and market-sector visibility.
  • Ability to collaborate with senior HDR leadership and Market Sector Directors.

Responsibilities

  • Provide leadership on multi‑discipline transit projects and programs across sectors and regions.
  • Drive program growth for transit, intercity, and freight rail market sectors; support pursuit coordination.
  • Support Global Transit Market Sector Director in setting vision and developing staff.
