Job summary

Northgate Markets seeks a Kitchen Operations Supervisor to plan, implement, and oversee production scheduling for the central kitchen and Puestos across the store. The role includes training cooks, maintaining inventory, and ensuring compliance with recipes, GMP, and sanitation standards.

You will work with Culinary Team Leaders and Category Managers to develop staff, improve efficiency, and support store operations. Strong leadership and hands-on kitchen experience are essential.

Qualifications

• Must have strong leadership and supervisory abilities.
• Must have a current Food handlers certification.
• Must have excellent communication and mentoring skills.
• Demonstrated experience in back-of-house kitchen management and production planning.
• Basic knowledge of Microsoft Excel, Word and Outlook.

Responsibilities

• Train and certify Puesto Team Leaders, Leads and BOH associates.
• Plan and execute daily recipe production for Puestos in central kitchen.
• Maintain inventory and ensure adherence to GMP policies and sanitation standards.
• Collaborate with department heads to improve operational efficiencies and reduce shrink.
• Oversee cost of goods and labor cost for the kitchen operation.
• Ensure proper labeling, dating and storage of products; rotate FIFO.
