Job summary

Northgate Markets is seeking a Kitchen Manager to oversee the central kitchen and Puestos, ensuring production aligns with recipes, schedules, and quality standards. The role requires training and supervising a team, maintaining sanitary conditions, and coordinating with store departments to optimize operations and cost efficiency.

The ideal candidate will have strong leadership, minimum 3 years of kitchen management experience in multi-unit settings, and proficiency in basic Excel/Word.

Qualifications

• Must have strong leadership and supervisory skills.
• Must have problem-solving abilities and ability to work under pressure.
• Excellent communication and mentoring skills.
• Bi-lingual English – Spanish is highly desirable.
• Basic knowledge of Microsoft Excel and Word.

Responsibilities

• Train and certify Puesto Team Leaders and BOH associates.
• Ensure recipe execution with precision and efficiency.
• Coordinate with Produce, Carniceria, and other departments to improve operations.
• Plan and execute daily recipe production for central kitchen Puestos.
• Maintain sanitation, inventory, and FIFO practices.
• Manage production, cost, and adherence to budget and quality standards.
