Job summary

PPG in California's Central Territory seeks a Territory Sales Manager to develop Bakersfield and Fresno markets, influence end users and executives, and align with Regional, Zone, and National goals.

This individual contributor role focuses on achieving sales targets, strengthening distributor relationships, increasing Refinish product sales, and using data to guide decisions and improve profitability and customer outcomes.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in business or related field, or equivalent experience.
• 5+ years of successful sales experience with a consultative selling track record.
• Automotive refinish or related industry experience.
• Willingness to travel approximately 25% overnight.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office and CRM tools.

Responsibilities

• Achieve annual sales targets while managing costs, receivables, and expenses within plan.
• Develop understanding of customer needs, regional market dynamics, and PPG business strategies.
• Increase sales of PPG Refinish products through distribution channels.
• Manage distributor relationships, including sales performance, training, and account management.
• Provide expertise in collision center and fleet operations, supporting improvements in profitability, cycle time, and operational efficiency.
• Use data and analytics to guide decision-making and improve customer outcomes.
• Collaborate across teams to maximize market potential and deliver a winning customer experience.
