Job summary

Lakeview Center seeks a Central Access Specialist to support screening and access across program areas. You will coordinate with the Central Client Registration team, gather initial screening information, and refer clients to Clinical Assessment Specialists.

You will ensure timely scheduling of initial appointments and maintain knowledge of all program areas and provider networks. The role requires an AA or equivalent with experience, excellent communication, and strong organizational skills.

Qualifications

• AA degree in area of responsibility with 3 years of medical/business office experience OR
• High school diploma or GED with 5 years related experience
• Working knowledge of clinical/business practice requirements related to access to services
• Understanding of insurance authorizations and practice requirements is a plus
• Ability to work independently with good criteria and decision-making skills
• Proficient internet/computer skills and Microsoft Office to complete tasks
• Strong organizational skills and ability to prioritize responsibilities
• Ability to maintain effective working relationships with internal and external customers
• Excellent verbal and written communication
• Ability to follow agency policies and procedures and maintain accuracy
• Must pass state/federal background screening as appropriate

Responsibilities

• Coordinate with CCR to manage access scheduling and initial screening
• Support central access teams and ensure timely daily task completion
• Schedule initial appointments with program providers after assessment
• Maintain knowledge of program areas and provider network status
• Ensure quality customer service in daily operations
