Luzerne County Head Start, Inc. seeks a Center Manager to oversee operations of assigned Head Start centers and maintain center activities. You will motivate, guide and direct staff at the center level to support the organization’s philosophy and policies.

The role requires an AAS in Administration/Child Development or related discipline, plus relevant supervisory experience. Full-time, 10-month position with salary of $37,410 annually; bilingual bonus of 5% applies.

• AAS degree required.
• Three (3) years of experience in a child care setting.
• Related management and supervisory experience preferred.

Responsibilities/Duties:

Responsible for the overall operations of assigned Head Start centers and maintain all center activities. Motivate, guide and direct the Head Start staff at the center level in a manner that supports the philosophy and the policies of Luzerne County Head Start, Inc.

Conditions of Employment
Luzerne County Head Start requires staff to possess current, valid Background Clearances (3) per state/federal regulations. Position will require record check approval of driving record by LCHS Insurance Provider, as this position is considered a designated position requiring driving as an essential job function. Proof of Degree/Certification and Experience Required to meet the Qualifications for position.

Full Time/10-month position works a school year August -June annually, 37.5 hrs/wk
Exempt/Salaried position, $37,410/year
For those who possess Bilingual Abilities – 5% additional pay
