Job summary

Luzerne County Head Start is seeking a Center Administrator to oversee operations of Head Start centers and ensure adherence to program philosophy and policies. You will supervise center staff and coordinate activities to support children and families served by the program, ensuring compliance with state and federal regulations.

The role is full-time, 10-month (August through June), 37.5 hours/week, with an exempt salary of $37,410 per year. Bilingual abilities earn an additional 5% pay.

Qualifications

• Three years’ experience in child care setting.
• Related management and supervisory experience preferred.

Conditions of Employment
Luzerne County Head Start requires staff to possess current, valid Background Clearances (3) per state/federal regulations. Position will require record check approval of driving record by LCHS Insurance Provider, as this position is considered a designated position requiring driving as an essential job function. Proof of Degree/Certification and Experience Required to meet the Qualifications for position.
