Job summary

Carl D Perkins Job Corps Center in Kentucky is seeking a Computer Support Specialist to manage the Center’s computer information system and ensure daily data processing operations run smoothly.

You will configure Active Directory permissions, VPN and Citrix connectivity, troubleshoot hardware and software, provide end‑user training, and coordinate with hardware/software vendors while following required policies and procedures.

Qualifications

• Three years of computer experience.
• MS Office, MS SQL, Citrix, Windows OS, IIS, Antivirus, Backup software experience.
• Associates degree preferred.
• Strong problem solving and communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Provide support for applications and connectivity, including configuring AD permissions and domain controllers.
• Troubleshoot hardware, software and connectivity issues for a mixed environment.
• Install and configure connectivity software (VPN, Citrix, Telnet) and manage software updates.
• Train end users on PC and network basics and ensure security of data.
• Coordinate with vendors and enforce software standards.
