Job summary

KidStrong is seeking a General Manager in Bel Air, MD to lead the center, coach staff, and deliver an exceptional experience for families and kids. You will drive sales performance, manage KPIs, and build strong relationships with members to lower attrition.

As a GM, you will recruit, train, and supervise coaching staff, ensure compliance, and collaborate with HQ to align programming with KidStrong goals. This role requires a dynamic leader with high-energy and a passion for child development.

Qualifications

• Athletic/coaching background with experience coaching kids 15 months–11 years
• Coach Certification via HQ Training & Certification
• Complete LearnUpon training as required
• Comfortable discussing topics with parents/guardians
• Experience in pediatric settings a plus, management exp required
• Proficient with Google and Microsoft platforms
• Sales experience strongly preferred

Responsibilities

• Understand and monitor center KPIs and financials to make informed decisions
• Build relationships with KidStrong families and deliver exceptional service
• Oversee center-level initiatives like maintenance, training, branding
• Schedule and manage center operations including shifts and programming
• Lead recruiting, interviewing, onboarding, training, and evaluation of coaching staff
• Ensure paperwork complies with policy and law; lead staff meetings
• Lead coaching staff through product development and performance reviews
• Coordinate with HQ and leadership; participate in weekly leadership meetings
• Coach students using the evolving curriculum focused on brain, physical, and character development
• Maintain data in KS Coaches App (attendance, awards)
• Manage safety and physical demands of activities (25-lb equipment)
• Drive events, camps, and profitable center activities
• Develop and nurture a coaching culture and professional development for staff
