Job summary

KidStrong is seeking a General Manager to lead a busy center, drive sales, and foster a culture of learning and development for coaches and families. You will train and coach the team, build strong member relationships, and deliver key business results such as membership growth and reduced attrition.

The role emphasizes leadership, excellent communication, and hands-on management of daily operations, events, and coaching programs. A passion for children’s development is essential.

Qualifications

• Athletic or coaching background with experience coaching kids aged 15 months to 11 years.
• Coach Certification through HQ Training and Certification team.
• Complete training via LearnUpon as required by HQ Training and Certification team.
• Comfortable speaking with parents/guardians about a variety of topics.
• Pediatric OT/PT experience is a plus, but not required.
• Prior management experience is required.
• Experience with Google and Microsoft platforms.
• Experience with ZenPlanner, LearnUpon, CareerPlug, ADP and FranConnect is preferred but not required.
• Knowledge of physiology, exercise techniques, and body mechanics.

Responsibilities

• Center Operations: Understand KPIs/financials; build relationships with KidStrong families; oversee center initiatives; manage scheduling and center tasks.
• Sales: Maintain lead management and drive bookings; oversee sales delegated to center staff; attend local events to increase memberships.
• Leadership: Recruit, train, evaluate coaching candidates; document performance; lead staff meetings; develop culture and product.
• Coaching: Deliver evolving curriculum for ages from walking to ~11; use KS Coaches App for attendance/awards; ensure safety and engagement; lead monthly staff meetings.
• Sphere of Interaction: Supervise AGM/Lead Coach; mentor team; communicate with families; coordinate with HQ.
