Job summary

Life Skills Autism Academy in Albuquerque seeks a compassionate Behavior Technician to deliver ABA therapy 1:1 under BCBA supervision. You will work directly with children on the autism spectrum, focusing on language, social skills, and school readiness.

Candidates must be RBT-certified or willing to complete a 40-hour training and pass the competency exam within 45 days. The role emphasizes reliability, safety, and precise data collection to guide treatment plans.

Qualifications

• Minimum high school diploma or GED required.
• Must be willing to obtain CPR and First Aid certification.
• Reliable transportation and, if required, valid driver’s license and insurance.
• Able to physically perform job duties, including lifting up to 50 lbs and active movement.

Responsibilities

• Provide direct 1:1 and group ABA therapy in line with treatment plans.
• Record, summarize, and review data on client behavior.
• Assist with parent and caregiver training per treatment protocols.
• Maintain safe, clean, and organized therapy environment.
• Communicate progress with BCBA/BC team as instructed.
• Prepare client materials and support assessments as needed.
