Job summary

Centria Autism’s Life Skills Autism Academy in Norfolk, VA seeks a Registered Behavior Technician to provide 1:1 and small group ABA services in center-based programs. You will implement behavior programs, collect data, and collaborate with BCBA/BC to support each child’s goals.

The role requires RBT certification, 18+ years old, reliable transportation, and willingness to obtain CPR/First Aid and TB testing. IPSD and parent training are part of daily duties in a supportive team environment.

Qualifications

• Must hold and maintain current RBT certification (BACB).
• Must pass background check.
• Minimum of a High School Diploma or GED.
• Must have reliable transportation.
• Must be at least 18 years old.
• Willing to obtain CPR and First Aid certification.
• Willing to obtain TB test annually.
• Must be able to perform physical tasks including lifting up to 50lbs.

Responsibilities

• Provide direct client care in 1:1 and group settings.
• Follow treatment plans designed by BCBA/BC.
• Collect, record, and summarize data on client behavior.
• Assist with parent and caregiver training.
• Ensure timely documentation per procedures.
• Communicate progress to parents/caregivers as instructed.
• Maintain safe, clean, and organized environment.
• Assist with preparation of client materials and assessments.
