Job summary

Centria Autism's Life Skills Autism Academy in Norfolk, VA seeks a Registered Behavior Technician (RBT) for full-time, center-based ABA therapy with young children. You will provide 1:1 and small-group sessions, follow treatment plans, collect data, and support BCBA/BC in program delivery and family training.

Qualifications include current RBT certification, background check willingness, high school diploma/GED, 18+, reliable transportation, CPR/First Aid, TB testing.

Qualifications

• Must hold and maintain current RBT certification.
• Must be willing to participate in the company’s background check process.
• Minimum of a High School Diploma or GED is required.
• Must have reliable transportation.
• Must be at least 18 years of age.
• Willing to obtain CPR and First Aid certification.
• Willing to obtain a tuberculosis (TB) test annually.
• Must be able to physically perform this job, including lifting up to 50lbs and moving on the floor.
• Strong attention to detail and ability to follow instructions.

Responsibilities

• Provide direct client care in 1:1 and group settings using intensive teaching and natural environment training.
• Follow prescribed behavior protocols outlined in the client's treatment plan.
• Collect, record, and summarize data on observable client behavior.
• Assist with parent and caregiver training per treatment protocols.
• Ensure timely documentation and reporting of progress to families.
• Communicate progress to parents as instructed by BCBA/BC.
• Maintain a clean, safe, organized work and therapy environment.
• Assist with preparation of client materials and assessments.
