Job summary

Amrize is seeking a Production Manager to lead the cement plant's production function, ensuring safety, quality, and efficiency while meeting budgeted output. You will direct the use of equipment and personnel, coach staff, and collaborate with management to align with strategic goals.

You will lead budgeting, planning, and monthly forecasting, drive continuous improvement, and maintain strong cross-department relationships to ensure smooth plant operation.

Qualifications

• Field of Study preferred: Science or Engineering.
• Minimum of 7 years of cement plant experience including exposure to all functional areas.
• Computer skills: Word, Excel, SAP.
• Travel requirements: 10%.

Responsibilities

• Manage the plant's production function.
• Ensure that the plant produces the required quantity of quality products.
• Direct the effective and efficient use of plant production equipment and people.
• Provide leadership to department employees by directing, coaching, supporting and delegating as the situation requires.
• Assist plant management in anticipating future needs and contribute to 3-year improvement plans.
• Maintain a technically advanced and safety conscious team.
• Establish annual department and personal objectives aligned with plant goals.
• Maintain relationships with other departments, CIP and Regional Management for smooth operation.
• Plan, budget, forecast, and report department performance; safeguard assets and ensure environment compliance.
• Ensure product quality meets customer, market, and industry expectations.
• Meet or exceed production volumes budget and keep production costs within budget.
