Ash Grove Cement Company is seeking a Maintenance Manager to coordinate and supervise maintenance and preventive activities for plant equipment and machinery. You will oversee maintenance staff, engage in capital budgeting, and guide major shutdowns while ensuring safety standards.

The role requires a 4-year engineering degree or equivalent experience, 5+ years in a cement plant, and strong leadership and planning skills to drive reliability and efficiency.

Qualifikationen

• 4 year/Bachelors Degree in engineering or related field required or equivalent experience.
• Minimum 5 years of cement manufacturing facility experience with management exposure.
• Ability to read, write, and understand warning labels and instructions.
• Proficient in English communication and listening skills.
• Ability to lead, organize, and prioritize work under supervision.
• Knowledge of MSHA safety regulations and EPA environmental regulations.
• Experience with cement equipment such as kilns, mills, rollers, and pumps.
• Familiarity with blueprints and construction methods.

Aufgaben

• Promote and follow all plant safety guidelines.
• Set responsibilities, goals and performance standards for Maintenance Dept.
• Coordinate maintenance projects with other departments.
• Plan, schedule, and supervise all maintenance repairs and preventive work.
• Develop major shutdown plans, real-time updates, and post-shutdown reviews.
• Oversee all maintenance department activities.
• Evaluate performance and recommend merit increases and promotions.
• Coordinate with contractors for repairs and supervise their work.
• Meet vendors about new maintenance equipment and supplies.
• Support plant safety and environmental programs.
• Coordinate with plant management on project priorities and schedules.
• Review maintenance plans with Planner and supervise activities.
• Investigate maintenance problems and propose solutions.
• Prepare budgets and assist with annual budget development.
• Ensure training for department staff and new hires.
