Accura Engineering and Consulting Services, Inc. is seeking a CEI Inspector for projects in Tifton, GA and Southwest GA. The role involves field inspections of roadways and bridges, verifying materials, and supporting project engineers throughout construction.

Requirements include a High School Diploma or GED with 1.5–3 years of transportation inspection experience. GDOT certifications and a valid driver’s license are required within specified timeframes.

Formación

• High school diploma or GED required.
• 1.5–3 years of progressive transportation inspection experience.
• Ability to read and interpret construction plans and specs.
• Knowledge of highway construction materials and inspection procedures.
• Must obtain required GDOT certifications within specified time frames.

Responsabilidades

• Perform independent inspections of roadway and bridge construction to ensure compliance with plans, specs, and standards.
• Inspect asphalt and concrete materials, pavement placement, compaction, alignment, depth, and overall quality.
• Inspect structural components including foundations, piling, reinforcing steel, concrete placement and backfill.
• Monitor traffic control devices and erosion/sediment controls.
• Prepare reports, maintain inspection records, and document project activities.
• Supervise or direct other inspectors during routine inspections.
• Participate in project meetings and plan reviews as required.
• Assist with construction management duties on resurfacing and rehabilitation projects.
• Communicate effectively with project teams, contractors, and stakeholders.
