Job summary

Accura Engineering is seeking a CEI Inspector to perform construction engineering and inspection on roadway, bridge, and transportation projects. You will conduct field inspections, verify materials, and maintain project documentation while supporting project engineers and management.

The role requires reading plans, applying inspection procedures, and coordinating with teams on resurfacing, safety improvements, and bridge projects. GDOT certifications and a valid driver’s license are required.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• 18–36 months of progressive transportation technician or inspection experience.
• Ability to read and interpret plans, specs, and contract documents.
• Knowledge of highway construction materials and inspection procedures.
• Obtain specified GDOT certifications within required timeframes.
• Valid driver's license and ability to operate a vehicle.

Responsibilities

• Perform independent inspections of roadway and bridge construction activities.
• Inspect materials, pavement placement, compaction, alignment, and quality.
• Inspect structural components, foundations, excavation, steel, concrete, culverts, and backfill.
• Monitor traffic control devices and erosion control measures.
• Prepare reports and maintain inspection records; support project team.
