Job summary

Cura of Willmar is seeking a Certified Dietary Manager (CDM) to lead our dietary department and guide staff development. We welcome candidates pursuing CDM certification.

The role emphasizes a positive workplace culture, strong food safety practices, and collaboration with nursing to meet residents' dietary needs. The successful candidate will supervise staff, ensure regulatory compliance, and maintain high standards in patient dining services, while contributing to a supportive leadership team

Qualifications

• CDM certification preferred; candidates pursuing CDM encouraged.
• Experience in leadership or supervision in dietary services or related field.
• Experience in healthcare settings (skilled nursing or assisted living) preferred.

Responsibilities

• Lead and oversee daily dietary department operations to ensure nutritious, high-quality meals and a positive dining experience for residents.
• Supervise, mentor, and educate dietary staff while fostering a respectful, team-oriented work environment.
• Provide ongoing staff education on food safety, sanitation, infection control, and meal service standards.
• Ensure compliance with state and federal regulations, facility policies, and dietary best practices.
• Oversee meal preparation, food presentation, therapeutic diets, and resident food preferences; manage ordering and inventory.
