Job summary

ISH Dining Services is seeking a Certified Dietary Manager (CDM) to lead our dietary services team in Oakland, Maryland. You will oversee daily operations, ensure high standards of safety and sanitation, and manage budgeting and inventory to support resident care.

The role requires a CDM credential with healthcare food service experience and strong leadership abilities. You will collaborate with leadership to meet surveys, audits, and inspections, ensuring quality and satisfaction for residents.

Qualifications

• Active CDM credential required.
• Healthcare food service or long-term care experience preferred.
• Strong leadership and team management skills.
• Knowledge of dietary regulations, sanitation standards, and food safety practices.
• Experience with budgeting, inventory control, and cost management preferred.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced, resident-focused environment.

Responsibilities

• Oversee daily dietary department operations and food service production
• Ensure compliance with all federal, state, and local health regulations
• Maintain high standards of sanitation, safety, and infection control
• Manage food and supply ordering, inventory, and cost control measures
• Monitor meal quality, portion control, and resident dietary compliance
• Supervise, train, and support dietary staff to ensure consistent performance
• Develop and maintain schedules to meet department and resident needs
• Conduct ongoing quality assurance and improve departmental processes
• Collaborate with leadership to support resident care and satisfaction
• Ensure readiness for surveys, audits, and inspections
