Job summary

Good Samaritan Inver Grove Heights is seeking a Nutrition and Food Services manager to oversee day-to-day operations in a 46-room long-term care facility. You will supervise dietary and related food services, menu planning, and quality initiatives.

You will coordinate budgeting, staffing, and performance improvements while ensuring compliance with healthcare standards. A CDM or registered dietitian is preferred, with Serv Safe certification to be obtained within a year.

Qualifications

• Advanced education preferred.
• Minimum three years’ experience required in the area of hire.
• CDM certification or a registered dietitian preferred. If necessary, acquire Serv Safe certification within a year of hire.

Responsibilities

• Manages the day-to-day operations of the Nutrition and Food Services department, contributing to the strategic planning process.
• Oversees all dietary and related food services functions, including diet and menu planning.
• Monitors dispensing and distribution of food and supplies, and coordinates budgets and staffing.
• Maintains knowledge of quality management methods and supports continuous improvement.
• Trains staff, ensures regulatory compliance, and collaborates on department initiatives.
