Job summary

Redwood Grove Post Acute is seeking a knowledgeable Certified Dietary Manager (CDM) to oversee the daily operations of our dietary department in a skilled nursing facility. The role ensures high-quality, nutritious meals while complying with federal, state, and local regulations to support resident health and satisfaction.

You will manage all dietary services, supervise staff, work with a Registered Dietitian, monitor food safety, inventory, and readiness for state surveys, and address resident

Qualifications

• CDM credential is required (or eligible).
• ServSafe Certification required (or ability to obtain).
• Minimum 2 years of dietary management experience.
• Strong knowledge of therapeutic diets and nutrition regulations.
• Experience supervising staff in a fast-paced environment.
• Excellent organizational, communication, and leadership skills.

Responsibilities

• Oversee all aspects of dietary services, including meal preparation and service.
• Ensure compliance with Title 22, CMS, and state dietary regulations.
• Plan, implement, and evaluate menus with a Registered Dietitian.
• Supervise, train, and schedule dietary staff.
• Maintain food safety and sanitation standards (HACCP, infection control).
• Monitor inventory, ordering, and cost controls.
• Address resident dietary needs and special diets.
• Participate in interdisciplinary care planning.
