Whitney Oaks Care Center is actively seeking a Certified Dietary Manager (CDM) to lead the dietary department in Carmichael, CA. This is a full-time leadership role focused on delivering nutritious meals, regulatory compliance, and high resident satisfaction.

The ideal candidate holds a CDM credential, with ServSafe preferred, and has prior leadership experience in healthcare settings. You will work closely with dietitians and nursing staff to maintain quality and compliance.

Qualifications

• Current Certified Dietary Manager (CDM) credential required.
• ServSafe Certification preferred.
• Leadership experience in healthcare, skilled nursing, rehabilitation, or long-term care setting preferred.
• Knowledge of state and federal dietary regulations.
• Strong organizational, communication, and leadership skills.

Responsibilities

• Manage daily operations of the Dietary Department.
• Supervise, train, schedule, and support dietary staff.
• Ensure compliance with dietary, sanitation, safety, and infection control regulations.
• Collaborate with Registered Dietitians, nursing staff, and interdisciplinary team members.
• Maintain food quality, nutritional standards, and resident satisfaction.
• Monitor inventory, purchasing, and budget management.
• Conduct departmental audits and quality improvement initiatives.
• Ensure proper food storage, preparation, and service procedures.
• Participate in resident care planning and nutritional assessments as needed.
