Job summary

Republic Services is seeking a Driver- CDL (B) to safely operate a collection truck and provide prompt, courteous waste removal services. You will ensure vehicle safety, follow regulatory requirements, and complete daily VCRs and reports.

Primary duties include pre/post inspections, route service, waste loading, and maintaining professional customer interactions on each trip. A strong safety orientation and adherence to schedules are essential.

Qualifications

• Must hold a Class B or higher CDL with air brakes endorsement.
• Strong commitment to safety and regulatory compliance.
• Ability to read route sheets and operate vehicles per policy.

Responsibilities

• Perform pre- and post-operation inspections to ensure safety and readiness.
• Safely drive the collection truck along assigned routes and service customers.
• Load refuse, operate the compactor, and dispose of material at designated facilities.
• Interact professionally with customers, dispatchers, and coworkers.
• Tag and report unsatisfactory waste and monitor waste quality.
• Maintain vehicle cleanliness and monitor for spills according to safety standards.
• Complete route productivity reports and required documentation (VCRs).
• Adhere to safety policies, contribute to ReSOP initiatives, and meet schedule targets.
• Perform other duties as assigned and uphold company standards.
