Job summary

Republic Services in the United States seeks a Driver – CDL (B) to safely operate a collection truck and provide prompt, courteous waste removal services for customers. You will ensure the vehicle complies with safety standards and complete daily vehicle condition reports as required.

You will perform pre- and post-operation inspections, service routes on your designated line, interact with customers professionally, and maintain route sheets and VCRs.

Qualifications

• Must have Class B CDL with air brakes endorsement.
• Ability to safely operate a heavy collection truck.
• Strong customer service and time management skills.

Responsibilities

• Perform complete pre- and post-operation inspection of the vehicle to ensure safety and readiness.
• Safely operate the heavy truck along designated routes and service each customer as identified.
• Load refuse and operate the compactor per safety policies and procedures.
• Interact courteously with customers, dispatchers, and others on a daily basis.
• Identify unsatisfactory waste containers and tag containers as required.
• Complete required route/productivity sheets and vehicle condition reports (VCRs).
• Maintain adherence to productivity standards and safety policies.
• Follow the company's ReSOP program and perform other duties as assigned.
