Job summary

GFL Environmental Inc. is seeking a Swing Driver to safely operate Front End, Roll Off, Residential, and other trucks on various routes. You will deliver collected waste or recyclables to landfill or transfer stations, often filling in on different routes to ensure consistent service.

Pay is $27 per hour, with strong benefits and opportunities for advancement. The role requires a valid CDL, at least one year of commercial driving experience, and strict adherence to safety policies.

Qualifications

• Must have a valid Commercial Driver’s License (CDL).
• Minimum one year of commercial driving experience or CDL school certificate.
• Must be able to meet safety-sensitive criteria per company standards.

Responsibilities

• Operate one or more vehicle types and collect solid waste, yard waste, and/or recyclables on a route.
• Complete pre-trip and post-trip safety inspections and reports as required.
• Report mechanical problems to supervisor or mechanic immediately.
• Adhere to safety standards and company rules at all times.
• Maintain clean vehicle interior and exterior.
• Manage assigned helper(s) if applicable.
• Attend safety meetings and other required trainings.
• Perform other duties as requested by management.
