Job summary

GFL Environmental Inc. is seeking drivers to operate multiple truck types on solid waste routes in Texas. You will perform pre-trip and post-trip inspections, report issues, and maintain safe, compliant operations while serving customers and keeping a clean vehicle.

The role requires a valid CDL, a high school diploma or GED, and at least one year of driving experience or CDL training. Training on routes and safety procedures is provided, with additional responsibilities including route

Qualifications

High school diploma or GED is preferred.
Must have a valid Commercial Driver’s License (CDL).
Minimum one year of commercial driving experience or CDL school certificate.
Ability to meet safety-sensitive criteria per company standards.
Ability to safely drive the truck and operate related equipment.

Responsibilities

Operate various truck types and collect solid waste, yard waste and recyclables on assigned routes.
Complete pre-trip and post-trip inspections and report findings daily.
Communicate mechanical issues to supervisor promptly.
Maintain safe operation and adhere to all safety regulations.
Maintain vehicle cleanliness and manage any assigned helpers.
Develop directions to new accounts and assist with training others.
