Job summary

Waste Management is seeking a CDL driver responsible for operating heavy-duty trucks, transporting waste to disposal, transfer, or recycling facilities. The role includes backing maneuvers, residential and roll-off duties, and maintaining safety and regulatory compliance.

Candidates must meet CDL requirements, pass drug and physical screening, and be able to interact with customers professionally. This is a full-time on-site position with opportunities for growth and training.

Qualifications

• Valid CDL or equivalent driving experience.
• At least 18 years old and legally eligible to work in the U.S.
• Ability to read, write and speak English.
• Able to pass pre-employment drug screen and physical.
• 1 year driving experience or equivalent military driving.
• Safety-conscious and customer-focused driving skills.

Responsibilities

• Operate heavy-duty trucks according to safety rules and DOT requirements.
• Perform pre- and post-trip inspections and document checks.
• Report unsafe situations or service issues promptly to management.
• Back up route efficiency improvements with the Operations Manager.
• Complete end-of-day documentation and checkout as directed.
• Empty and clean receptacles and ensure customer sites are left tidy.
