Job summary

Waste Management is hiring a Driver to operate heavy-duty Trucks for waste collection and recycling services. The role includes front, side, or rear-end load operations, with emphasis on safe handling and navigation of urban routes.

You will perform loading and dumping operations, back safety checks, and coordinate with dispatch for efficient service delivery. The position requires strict adherence to safety, DOT regulations, and quality service while maintaining timely pickups.

Qualifications

• Experience operating heavy-duty trucks and transporting waste or recyclables.
• Ability to perform pre/post-trip inspections and document checks.

Responsibilities

• Operate vehicle per WM safety rules, OSHA, and DOT requirements.
• Complete pre- and post-trip inspections using DVIR.
• Report unsafe situations or service issues to supervisor.
• Attend training and meetings as required.
• Collaborate with Operations Manager to improve route efficiency.
• Notify on incidents, safety concerns, or service interruptions.
• Communicate customer requests to Dispatch.
• Fully dump all receptacles and leave sites safely.
