Job summary

Waste Management is seeking a Safety-conscious CDL driver to operate heavy-duty trucks for residential or commercial waste collection. The role involves loading, transporting, and unloading containers, with emphasis on safe maneuvering in diverse environments.

Qualifications

• Must have a valid CDL Class A or B with air-brake endorsement.
• 1 year operating a vehicle requiring a CDL or 1 year military driving within the last 7 years.
• Must be at least 18 years old and eligible to work in the US.
• Able to read, write, and speak English well enough to interact with the public and complete records.

Responsibilities

• Operate heavy-duty trucks with appropriate load attachments following safety rules and DOT regulations.
• Perform pre- and post-trip vehicle inspections and document checks.
• Communicate service interruptions and job progress to supervision.
• Safely back up and maneuver in residential/commercial environments as required.
• Complete end-of-day documentation and route check-out per supervisor directions.
