Job summary

WM is seeking drivers to operate heavy-duty trucks for waste collection, roll-off, and residential routes. Role involves backing maneuvers, navigating tight spaces, and safe handling of containers weighing over 1,000 pounds.

The position requires a CDL Class A or B with air-brake endorsement, clean driving record, and ability to work a shift from 5am Mon-Fri with rotating Saturdays. A boot allowance is provided as part of benefits.

Qualifications

• 1 year operating a vehicle requiring a CDL.
• 1 year equivalent military driving within the last 7 years.
• Must be at least 18 years of age and legally eligible to work.
• Able to read, write, and speak English well enough to interact with the public and complete records.

Responsibilities

• Operates vehicle in accordance with WM safety and DOT requirements.
• Performs pre- and post-trip inspections and documents checks.
• Notifies supervisor of unsafe situations or service-related issues.
• Attends trainings and participates in meetings.
• Maintains route efficiencies and best practices with the team.
• Communicates customer requests to Dispatch.
• Dumps all receptacles and leaves location clean.
