Job summary

Performance Food Group is seeking a Transportation Supervisor responsible for supervising and training drivers, ensuring safe and timely deliveries, and maintaining DOT compliance. The role involves coordinating driver payroll, logs, and program adherence, and maintaining vehicle readiness across a fleet.

You will work closely with the Transportation/Operations Manager to optimize routes and reduce costs. The ideal candidate has several years of transportation experience, a strong safety record,

Qualifications

• Requires knowledge of DOT regulations and safety rules for transportation operations.
• Experience operating computerized fleet management systems and documenting driver activity.
• Supervisory experience overseeing drivers and coordinating daily routes and training.
• Commercial Driver's License (CDL) class A preferred or required as applicable by role.

Responsibilities

• Supervise and train drivers, including staffing, coaching, performance management and scheduling.
• Assist Transportation/Operations Manager with daily transportation/admin tasks and driver payroll/trip logs.
• Ensure safety by monitoring vehicle equipment, ramp usage, seat belts and proper lifting practices.
• Coordinate tracking of driver information such as license status, tickets, accidents and safety data.
• Ensure accurate delivery paperwork including invoices, DVIRs and trip reports.
• Support cost-effective routing and efficient delivery operations in collaboration with the team.
