Job summary

Performance Food Group is seeking a Transportation Supervisor to oversee drivers at the operating company, ensuring safe, efficient, on-time deliveries while supervising staffing and training. You will monitor DOT logs, keep drivers compliant, and coordinate data while maintaining paperwork and vehicle maintenance.

This role supports cost control and safe operations within a dynamic food-distribution environment.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma/GED or equivalent.
• 2-4 years transportation experience with knowledge of DOT and safety regulations.
• Class A CDL certification.

Responsibilities

• Supervises drivers including staffing, training, coaching, performance management.
• Assists in scheduling and ensures deliveries are made on time; rides with drivers for training.
• Assists with DOT logs, payroll, trip logs, and expense reports; ensures regulatory compliance.
• Monitors vehicle safety, seat belt use and safe lifting; attends safety meetings.
• Maintains driver data: licenses, tickets, accidents; manages DVIR and reporting.
• Ensures truck/tractor/trailer maintenance and efficient routing; supports cost control.
