Job summary

Republic Services, Inc. in Greenville, SC is seeking a Driver Trainee who will be trained to obtain a CDL and transition into a Driver role across multiple lines of business, including Residential, Commercial, Industrial, or Roll-Off.

The program includes classroom study and on-route training, with full support to pass the CDL exam. After licensure, you will complete 12 months of service in the company’s driver positions, gaining hands-on experience and safety discipline.

Qualifications

• No prohibitions to acquiring a commercial drivers’ license.

Responsibilities

• Complete CDL training program, including classroom study, on-route training, driving experience, and resources to take the CDL examination.
• Complete twelve months of employment after obtaining a CDL.
• Learn to perform pre- and post-operation inspections of the assigned vehicle.
• Learn to safely operate a heavy or commercial truck along a designated route and service each customer.
• Learn to identify unsatisfactory waste containers and tag containers as required.
• Follow all safety policies and procedures.
