Job summary

Republic Services invites applicants to join a structured Driver Trainee program designed to qualify individuals for a CDL and a future Driver role across multiple lines of business, including Residential, Commercial, Industrial and Roll‑Off. Trainees will receive classroom study, on‑the‑road training, and access to a loaner truck to prepare for the CDL exam.

• Must be able to obtain a CDL during the training program.
• Willingness to complete 12 months of employment after CDL.
• Ability to perform pre- and post-operation vehicle inspections.

Responsibilities

• Complete Republic Services CDL training program with classroom and on‑road instruction.
• Operate heavy/comm truck on assigned routes following safety policies.
• Perform pre/post trip vehicle inspections and report safety issues.
• After CDL, assume Driver duties in Residential, Commercial, Industrial, or Roll‑Off lines.
