Job summary

Republic Services in the United States offers a Driver Trainee program designed to train you to obtain a commercial driver’s license (CDL). The program includes classroom study, on-route training, and resources to pass the CDL examination.

After obtaining a CDL, you will transition into a Driver role across Residential, Commercial, Industrial, or Roll-Off lines of business. You will complete twelve months of employment after CDL completion and operate in a safety‑driven environment, with

• No prohibitions to acquiring a commercial drivers’ license.

Responsibilities

• Complete Republic Services’ CDL training program (classroom, on-route training, driving experience).
• Learn pre- and post-operation vehicle inspections and safety reporting.
• Operate a heavy/ commercial truck along routes and service customers as assigned.
• After CDL, perform Driver duties in one of the company lines of business (Residential/Commercial/Industrial/Roll-Off).
• Adhere to all safety policies and procedures and perform other duties as assigned.
