Job summary

Rumpke is seeking a Route Foreman in Kentucky to support management by supervising a driver team and ensuring safe, complete routes. You’ll help resolve customer issues, manage daily work orders, and maintain DOT-compliant logs.

The role requires CDL, ability to read maps, and leadership to guide the crew. The position involves monitoring safety standards, assisting with route deliveries, and flexible hours including nights/weekends as needed.

Qualifications

• CDL license required or able to obtain
• Knowledge of DOT/OSHA regulations
• Ability to read maps and navigate effectively
• Demonstrated leadership qualities to drive day-to-day operations
• Proficient computer skills for reporting and record-keeping
• Ability to coordinate team activities and communicate clearly

Responsibilities

• Assist management with daily activities of route drivers including driver observations and inspections
• Ensure routes are completed by the assigned driver; run routes as needed
• Resolve missed stops with dispatch, drivers, and office staff
• Assign and track daily work orders to drivers
• Ensure drivers complete paperwork per DOT regulations and company policy
• Assist with customer service issue resolution
• Maintain logs and logs accuracy; review Hours of Service (HOS) compliance
• Monitor safety standards and productivity goals
• Assist with delivering containers and pre/post-trip inspections
• Perform other duties as assigned
