Job summary

Rumpke Waste & Recycling in Louisville, KY, is seeking a dedicated Utility Driver with a Class A CDL to service customers and haul waste or recycling materials. The role involves operating diverse trucks, daily route execution, frequent in-and-out truck activity, and strict adherence to safety and DOT requirements.

Responsibilities include on-time pickup, proper container placement, and professional customer interactions.

Qualifications

Must hold a Class A CDL.
Valid DOT Medical Card required or able to obtain before hire.
Must be at least 19 years old.
No more than 3 moving violations within the last 2 years.
No DUI/OVI within the last 5 years (or 2 in last 10 years).

Responsibilities

Provide trash or recycling removal services safely by emptying containers into the truck.
Operate various trucks and complete assigned routes.
Enter/exit the truck 300–500 times daily depending on route.
Routinely pick up missed stops and deliver containers as needed.
Maintain and log route and driver information; perform pre/post trip inspections.
Interact professionally with customers; uphold safety and compliance standards.
