Job summary

Rumpke Waste & Recycling is seeking a CDL driver to provide reliable waste collection across assigned routes in Kentucky. You will operate trucks, perform pre-trip inspections, and ensure safe dumping procedures while maintaining road safety and customer service standards.

Ideal candidates have 1–2 years of CDL experience, familiarity with front-load trucks, and a strong commitment to safety. The role involves varying shifts, potential overtime, and working outdoors in changing conditions.

Qualifications

Ability to read and understand a map and navigation system.
Ability to enter/exit the truck 100–150 times per day.
Excellent truck driving and maneuvering skills.
General knowledge of truck mechanics.
Good written and verbal communication with customers.
Must read and speak English well enough to communicate and follow safety training.

Responsibilities

Operate trucks in a safe manner to provide trash or recycling removal services to customers on assigned route(s) and/or work orders.
Maintain route sheets and update as needed.
Conduct daily pre-trip/post-trip inspections and complete DVIR logs.
Maintain cleanliness of truck cab and inspect containers for safe dumping.
Service approximately 100–150 commercial customers per day.
Interact professionally with internal and external customers.
