Job summary

GFL Industries is seeking a Residential Driver to safely and efficiently provide waste removal services on curbside and backdoor routes. You will operate a residential/recycling collection truck, load waste and recyclables, and maintain accurate route records.

The role requires a CDL, a minimum of one year of driving experience or CDL school, and a strong safety mindset. You will work with dispatch to meet route targets while upholding customer service standards.

Qualifications

• Requires a Commercial Driver's License (CDL).
• Minimum one year of commercial driving experience or CDL school certificate.
• Ability to meet safety-sensitive criteria per company standards.
• Ability to safely drive and operate waste collection equipment.
• Excellent communication with customers and supervisor.

Responsibilities

• Operate residential/recycling collection truck on specified routes.
• Load waste/recyclables into truck and ensure proper containment.
• Perform pre-trip and post-trip inspections and complete reports.
• Maintain clean vehicle interior and exterior and wear PPE.
• Identify prohibited waste and remove items from carts or cans.
• Coordinate with supervisor to improve routing efficiency and safety.
