Job summary

GFL is seeking a Residential Driver to provide safe, efficient waste removal services on curbside and backdoor routes. You will operate trucks, load and compact waste, and ensure route quality while adhering to safety standards.

Responsibilities include inspections, reporting, and supervising helpers if needed. The role requires a CDL, a GED or equivalent, and a commitment to safety and customer service.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED preferred.
• Must possess a Commercial Driver's License (CDL).
• Minimum 1 year of commercial driving experience or CDL school certificate.
• Ability to meet safety-sensitive criteria and operate the truck and equipment safely.

Responsibilities

• Operate residential/recycling collection vehicle on designated routes.
• Load waste/recyclables, compact trash, and maintain route quality.
• Perform pre-trip and post-trip inspections and complete required reports.
• Communicate vehicle issues to supervisor and mechanics promptly.
• Maintain cleanliness of the vehicle and wear required PPE at all times.
• Supervise helpers if assigned and assist with routing improvements.
