Job summary

GFL Environmental Inc. is seeking a Residential Driver to safely and efficiently remove waste and recyclables on curbside and backdoor routes. The driver will operate rear- and side-load trucks, perform inspections, and maintain accurate route documentation.

The role emphasizes safety compliance, customer service, and teamwork with supervisors and helpers to ensure timely waste collection and adherence to company policies.

Qualifications

• Must possess a Commercial Driver’s License.
• Minimum one year of commercial driving experience or CDL school certificate.
• High school diploma or GED.
• Ability to meet safety-sensitive functions according to Company standards.
• Ability to safely drive the truck and operate the equipment.

Responsibilities

• Operate a residential/recycling collection truck and ancillary equipment on assigned routes.
• Load solid waste and recyclables into the vehicle.
• Perform pre-trip and post-trip safety inspections and complete reports.
• Communicate vehicle issues to supervisor and mechanic promptly.
• Maintain route quality standards and follow safety policies.
• Attend safety and branch meetings and assist with operations as needed.
