Job summary

GFL Environmental Inc. is seeking a dedicated residential waste collection driver. You will operate a side-load and/or rear-load truck on assigned routes, load waste and recyclables, and perform pre-trip/post-trip inspections. Maintain route quality and communicate any vehicle issues promptly.

The role requires a CDL, a high school diploma or GED, and at least 1 year of driving experience or CDL training. Safety and compliance are emphasized, with extensive benefits and overtime possible.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED desired.
• Must possess a Commercial Driver’s License (CDL).
• Minimum 1 year of commercial driving experience or CDL school certificate.
• Must pass safety-sensitive criteria per company standards.

Responsibilities

• Operate residential/recycling collection truck and equipment on assigned route.
• Load waste/recyclables into vehicle and ensure proper segregation.
• Perform pre-trip and post-trip inspections and complete required reports.
• Identify prohibited waste items and maintain route quality.
• Communicate vehicle issues to supervisor/mechanic immediately.
• Maintain clean vehicle interiors and exteriors.
