Job summary

GFL Environmental Inc. is hiring a CDL-equipped driver to operate residential/recycling collection trucks on assigned routes. You will load waste, perform inspections, and ensure safety and route efficiency while maintaining vehicle cleanliness.

Requirements include a high school diploma or GED and at least 1 year of commercial driving (or CDL school certificate). Expect to follow safety policies and participate in branch meetings as needed.

Qualifications

• Must possess a Commercial Driver's License (CDL) and meet safety criteria.
• Minimum of 1 year of commercial driving experience or CDL school cert.
• Ability to safely drive the truck and operate equipment per company standards.

Responsibilities

• Operate residential/recycling collection trucks on scheduled routes.
• Load waste and recyclables, compact trash, and maintain route quality.
• Perform pre-trip/post-trip inspections and complete required reports.
• Communicate mechanical issues to supervisor promptly and maintain safety PPE.
• Maintain vehicle cleanliness and assist with routing efficiency improvements.
• Oversee helpers when assigned and comply with safety and company policies.
• Attend safety meetings and perform other duties as assigned.
