Job summary

GFL is seeking a Residential Driver to safely and efficiently perform waste removal services on curbside and backdoor routes. You will operate trucks, load waste, and ensure compliance with safety regulations while maintaining high-quality service.

The role requires a CDL, a high school diploma or GED, and at least one year of driving experience. Overtime may be required, and strict adherence to safety standards is essential.

Qualifications

• Must possess a Commercial Driver's License.
• Minimum one (1) year of commercial driving experience OR CDL school certificate.
• High school diploma or general education degree (GED) desired.
• Must be able to meet relevant criteria for safety sensitive functions according to Company standards.
• Must be able to demonstrate the ability to safely drive the truck and operate the equipment.

Responsibilities

• Operate residential recycling collection routes and use appropriate equipment.
• Load waste/recyclables into the vehicle and ensure secure containment.
• Complete pre-trip and post-trip inspections and reports as required.
• Maintain vehicle cleanliness and perform basic maintenance checks.
• Communicate any mechanical issues immediately to supervisors.
• Follow safety protocols and comply with applicable laws and company policies.
