Job summary

GFL is seeking a Residential Driver to provide safe, efficient waste collection on curbside and backdoor routes in Michigan. You will operate trucks, load waste and recyclables, and maintain vehicle cleanliness while adhering to safety rules.

Prior CDL driving experience is preferred, and candidates must meet safety-sensitive criteria. Overtime may be required; you will report to the supervisor and follow company policies on safety and service delivery.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED (required).
• Must possess a Commercial Driver's License (CDL).
• Minimum one year of commercial driving experience or CDL school certificate.
• Ability to meet safety-sensitive criteria and safely operate the truck.

Responsibilities

• Operate residential/recycling collection trucks on assigned routes.
• Load waste and recyclables into the vehicle and operate the compaction system.
• Complete pre-trip and post-trip inspections and daily reports.
• Identify and report safety issues or vehicle problems to supervisor.
• Maintain vehicle cleanliness and route quality; wear PPE and follow safety rules.
• Overtime may be required.
