Job summary

Prince William County Service Authority in Manassas, VA is seeking a maintenance worker to support water and sanitary sewer systems. You will join a crew performing construction, repair, and routine maintenance, locating and marking lines, and operating a range of heavy and light equipment.

A valid Class A CDL is required with endorsements; medical card; and training in traffic control. This full-time role offers on-site work, on-call duties, and opportunities to support critical public works

Qualifications

High school diploma or GED.
Must possess and maintain a valid driver's license per policy.
Valid Class A CDL with Tanker and Air Brake endorsements on hire or within 120 days.
Medical Examiner's Card from a Virginia DOT physical on hire or within 120 days.
VDOT flagger and basic Work Zone Traffic Control certification within 90 days.
NASSCO PACP certification on hire or within one year.

Responsibilities

Work as part of a crew to assist in maintenance, repair, and construction of water and sewer lines.
Assist in maintaining, inspecting, and reducing infiltration into the sanitary sewer system.
Operate and maintain a range of automotive and mechanical equipment as required.
Meet contractors on-site to verify locations and answer questions about work.
Repair, replace, and install sanitary water and sewer connections and mains.
Assist with ticket processing and safe traffic control during duties.
