Job summary

Prince William Water in Virginia is seeking crew members to support the maintenance, repair, and construction of water and sanitary sewer systems. You will operate a variety of vehicles and equipment, locate underground lines, and assist customers while ensuring safety and regulatory compliance.

The role requires a Class A CDL with Tanker and Air Brake endorsements, a DOT medical card, and relevant certifications.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• CDL Class A with Tanker and Air Brake endorsements required.
• Medical Examiner’s Card (DOT) required at hire or within 120 days.
• VDOT flagger certification within 90 days of hire.
• NASSCO PACP certification within one year of hire.
• Ability to perform manual labor in all weather conditions.

Responsibilities

• Maintain, repair, and construct water and sewer lines and mains as part of a crew.
• Assist in locating and marking underground utilities; protect lines and fixtures.
• Operate a range of trucks and equipment used in water/sewer projects.
• Assist with VA811 Miss Utility tickets and related paperwork.
• Perform field locating and sketching of facilities and valve positions.
• Support safe traffic control and on-site safety practices.
• Participate in an on-call rotation as needed.
