Job summary

GFL Environmental Inc. is seeking a CDL-qualified driver to operate frontload or ancillary waste collection trucks along designated routes.

You will perform daily vehicle inspections, interact with customers, and ensure compliance with safety standards while dumping loads at post-collection facilities. The role requires a valid CDL, at least one year of commercial driving experience or a CDL school certificate, and the ability to back up and maneuver in tight spaces.

Qualifications

• CDL required to operate commercial trucks responsibly.
• At least 1 year commercial truck driving experience or a CDL school certificate.
• Must meet safety-sensitive criteria according to company standards.
• Ability to safely drive the truck and operate the equipment.

Responsibilities

• Drive commercial frontload or ancillary equipment along routes to collect waste and take to post-collection facilities.
• Open container enclosures to access cans and dump using castors on 3-4 yard cans.
• Perform daily pre- and post-trip inspections; submit vehicle condition reports.
• Interact courteously with customers and the public; report issues to supervisor.
