Job summary

GFL Environmental Inc. is hiring for a residential waste collection role in Texas. You will operate side-load/rear-load trucks, load waste and recyclables, and perform routine vehicle inspections and safety checks on route.

Responsibilities include communicating with supervisors, maintaining route quality, and ensuring compliance with safety policies. CDL driving experience is required or CDL school completion, with opportunities to engage in branch safety meetings.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Commercial Driver's License (CDL) required.
• Minimum of 1 year of commercial driving experience or CDL school certificate.
• Ability to meet safety sensitive criteria.

Responsibilities

• Operate residential/recycling collection trucks on assigned routes.
• Load waste/recyclables into the vehicle and operate compacting equipment.
• Complete pre/post-trip inspections and document route activity.
• Address vehicle issues with supervisor promptly.
• Maintain cleanliness and safety of the vehicle.
• Follow safety and company policies at all times.
• Attend safety and branch meetings as required.
• May supervise helpers and assist with routing improvements.
